  8. as entertainment. A cool or low literacy culture cannot accept 
  9. hot media like movies or radio as entertainment. They are, at 
  10. least, as radically upsetting for them as the cool TV medium 
  11. has proved to be for our high literacy world.

  13.      And as for the cool war and the hot bomb scare, the 
  14. cultural strategy that is desperately needed is humor and play. 
  15. It is play that cools off the hot situations of actual life by
